I love this tool, I even bought fork needles with it but those don't work like the 3 it comes with I need to buy some of those and I'm not sure what there called! They have ridges on them to root easy but they do break easily.

I have a mushroom tool and did my first doll with it. I broke 4 needles on it. I now have a pink pen and 42 german needles and have not broken any needles. It is easy to use and neater.

I have a mushroom rooting tool and did my first doll with it. I broke 4 needles with it. I bought the pink pen and got 42 german forked needles and did my second doll. I found it alot eaiser to use and a lot faster, and neater.I also did not break any needles with it.

I love this tool! I am new to rooting, and got very frustrated at the amount of time it took to root a head. With the felting needle holder, rooting goes faster, and I think it looks nicer.
I find it easier to use just 2 needles. The distance the needles are set apart is perfect. I can root a thick head of hair without the strands looking clumpy.
My only critique is personal. I usually like to hold a mushroom shaped rooting tool in the palm of my hand. Obviously, a pen style rooting tool is a little bit of an adjustment for me.
Try this tool, it is well worth the money, and the slight learning curve!
